Learn How To Multiply Exponents


Before we move forward and learn about Multiplying Exponents, be sure you understand the basics. Recommended reading: Exponents.
  • There is only one restriction. The Base number of all numbers with exponents must be the same. See the "Syntax Example" table below - the "Answer" column. In the first two rows, the base number is always 2. In the third row, the base number is alway 5. In other words, the base number in any math problem must be the same. Also the base number can be Whole Number, or Real Number.
  • When doing exponents multiplication with the same base, simply add their exponents.
